NeoInfinite is a decision-support and neonatal learning platform powered by AI. It is designed to make neonatal care faster, easier, and more informed for people who work in high-pressure NICU settings.

Neonatal care systems depended on manual workflows, offered limited decision support, reducing clinical efficiency and timely response.

Lack of Easily Accessible Trusted Study Material
Reliable, evidence-based resources are not always centralized or easy to access. Clinicians must rely on multiple platforms, textbooks, and notes. This makes revision time-consuming and inconsistent.

Challenges in Staying Updated with Latest Research
Medical research evolve rapidly, especially in neonatal care. Busy clinical schedules leave little time to go through lengthy research papers. As a result, staying updated becomes difficult and often overlooked.

Unstructured Decision-Making in Sensitive Situations
In critical scenarios, doctors often depend on memory or manual references. There is a lack of structured workflows to guide decision-making. This can lead to delays, confusion, or variability in clinical evaluation.

Process

Our Approach

1. Discovery & Requirements Gathering

We began by conducting detailed consultations with neonatologists, junior doctors, and clinical administrators to gain a better understanding of the main pain points in neonatal care delivery. This allowed us to clarify what we wanted to create, identify workflow constraints, and work towards a technology solution that could address the clinical needs in real-time.

2. User Journey Mapping and Functional Planning

Based on the first phase, we have mapped the user journey end-to-end and across different roles (parent, intern, junior doctor, senior doctor, and administrative staff). They set out priorities for functionality, such as secure parental communication, alerts, decision support, and real-time monitoring.

3. UI/UX Design for Clinical Environments

The design focused on simplicity, clarity, and speed, key in high-pressure NICU settings.

Wireframes were built to ensure smooth navigation.
Color-coded patient status indicators improved clarity; dashboards allowed visual monitoring of patient conditions and alerts.

Structured Neonatal Disease Learning

NeoInfinite offers a neonatal disease learning module, making neonatal education easy. Each condition is written in a structured and simple way, such as an overview, symptoms, clinical understanding, and essentials, along with well-known references. Summaries are short and enable quicker understanding, which helps healthcare professionals to quickly learn important facts without going through too much material. Impact: Reduces reliance on scattered resources, simplifies revision of trusted knowledge, and saves valuable time during learning and clinical preparation.

Guided Clinical Decision Workflows

NeoInfinite is a simulated decision-support system that is well-designed for clinical work. A doctor can select a neonatal condition suspected after which the platform will adaptively show relevant input fields such as gestational age, birth weight, clinical presentation, maternal history, and other condition-specific details. Once inputs are entered, the system will analyze the case and produce a step-by-step output to help in accurate and timely decision-making, thus removing the reliance on memory or several manual references Impact: Clinical reasoning is done more quickly, reduces confusion in situations where pressure is high, and condition-based evaluation is standardized.

Curated Research Intelligence

NeoInfinite makes it easier to obtain new data or medical knowledge through a research update module, which is generously supported by reliable sources of medical literature. Selecting any neonatal condition or topic, the platform retrieves the finest relevant articles and presents them in an easy-to-consume, filtered format. By giving priority to practical relevance and generating concise summaries, it enables clinicians to quickly understand key insights and evaluate the value of each study without going through lengthy content. Impact: Research becomes easier, clinicians get help with updating themselves with minimal effort, and the gap between medical literature and everyday practice is filled.

Interactive Learning Experience

NeoInfinite facilitates turning passive learning into an active one by including interactive quizzes and exercises connected to the disease content, decision workflows, and research insights.
